I'd just like to ask if - just once - Glimmer could win the actual race, in a way that it will intensify the rivalry between him and Kamui. It'd be like the movies, really.

I'm good with that, with Kamui's situation, he can easily beat her.

*Sigh* I was hoping to prolong that a bit more. There's only two races left after this one. Alright.... I'll let this slide IF and ONLY IF Glimmer has an OBVIOUS sense of guilt over this. Remember that on your part, he has to be allowed to develope and developments have been incredibly slow so far! I mean we're at the half way point right now and Glimmer's about as close to how he was at the very beginning.

Actually, we dont have to be that true to the videogame. I mean, in the DS videogame, there are only three tracks. PC/XBox/PS2 has five. I dont know how many tracks there are in the actual Nextel cup. I have always been thinking that the track time covers just the beginning of the season, making it very interesting, because I doubt we have enough story or filler to last us a whole season.
And what I thought was going to be the whole point of Glimmer's victory was that he can, and he will then obviously show how bad winner he is. (sore winner? Cant remember the saying...)

Don't we have Chick to fill the obnoxious quota?

But Glimmer aint Glimmer if he will not brag about his victory!

Well... if there's 5 races and the Glimmer event happens now midway through, it screws around with my plans way too much. If it's 5, I'd be much happier if it happened in race #4.

While I am more or less shifting my inner body-clock to a blinking 12:00, (got a graveyard shift tomrrow) I am trying to make sense of what you are saying.
I think now is a good time for Glimmer to have a victory, because he can still brag about it, and bevause of how Kamui is at the moment.
Unless you are actually telling me that because Glimmer wins something terrible is going to happen, the demon gets unbound or Steele can teleport him to extraction or the mutant star goats eat the RP.

You've forgotten about my wild card here - Kyoshi. Kyoshi, as we now know, has it in for Glimmer and in all reality doesn't like him very much. Also known about Kyoshi is that not only is she a racer, but she's also another spy and she's trying to shut down F.I.B.B.E.R and any other related "criminal" organization. That includes the Managers if she gets too much wind of what's going on and currently, she does have a clue that something's up. So she'd be causing all sorts of trouble for Glimmer during the race.
But as for the second last race thing... hmm.... mutant goats DO sound interesting.... XD But joking aside, I kinda have something lined up for the climax of the second last race. If this one is currently race #3 of 5 races, then it puts a major dent in to what I'm planning and it sorta interfears. Besides, a while back, Fierano agreed that we'd have this sorta thing occure in the second last race before the one for all the marbles.

I forgot in my last post to say yet again that you dont need to have it just five races. They can be just three, five, ten or twenty. Just as how long as it takes to finish this story.
Imagin the stress to try to get everything wrapped up before the last race, so it is better to have no limit, so that stories dont have to overlap each other so much. You remember how many tasks Kamui had just few dozen posts ago? If we have a set number, everyone would have that burden on them.
And I think it is time for fierano to say what he thinks about this.

I'll poke him next time I talk to him.
And Fierano and I have a lot of plans for our characters that will probably go beyond the season- but we still have a lot planned for during as well. Things would be going WAY too fast with so few races.

Given Glimmer's current coldness, he will probably just be brief yet sharp about his victory. Unlike Chick, he's not one to let a single race victory go to his head (not more than Lightning, anyway. XD). He could at least cause Kyoshi quite a bit of frustration along the way. Although Glimmer could overcome Kyoshi in the end...he might leave a bit of a trail if she keeps close enough to concentrate on his communications for so long.
Besides which, I only asked if he could win one race, not two. I don't plan on having him win the championship at all...just to get the Von Klamp arc into high gear. >3
Anyhoo, those flowers should have arrived at Lightning's garage by now...

Well... I'm all for freeform, but this is the one time I need a little structure in order to pull this off. Already, I've lined up way too many things to get my plan to fall in to place with my main one. But it'll fall flat on its' face if we dunno how many races there are. I personally would be happier with five.

I think that five races are too narrow. I would be comfy with 7 races.
How about we aim for a finish after 5 races, but do not really mention the fifth race being the final? Just in case.
