Heyall. Been meaning to get back to RPing here and with the current semester almost up I think I can get some RP time for once. >_>
The premise is that Jens Glimmer has been "replaced" by the Managers after narrowly losing the Piston Cup (possibly to Kamui, his archenemy). That means he's been very dishonorably discharged from their organization and fired from their front team Pennziere. He's not exactly barred from racing, but he will no longer receive their "funding." Johann Von Klamp (that soulless Maybach Exelero) is now racing and beat Glimmer effortlessly when the Merc challenged him to a very rash, impulsive one-on-one race on the track.
Now the broken-down, dejected German has gone missing. Nobody's really seen him since the race against Von Klamp. He's been "traced" to a rundown area of a major city (possibly Nitropolis) and one way or another he's got quite a bit of "bounty" on him.
I was wondering what you guys thought of it and if it could get off the ground.

That sounds like it could be interesting. I would, though, have to figure out which characters I'd be using and why they'd be in Nitropolis in the first place.

Carl Magnus would be there looking to up his reputation (with a couple of his buddies), and maybe there'd be a few Piston Cup familiars there as well. I'd like to chuck Kamui in there but I'm not sure how to accurately RP her. D: I'm not going to directly premiere Glimmer until the RP is really up and running though.
An interesting yet slightly morbid twist I've thought of involves a few extreme tuners who want Glimmer's mods in an "organ donor" sense. Since he's been allowed to keep his extremely high-tech (yet now outdated by Von Klamp's) Manager mods, it would make him a prime target for people wanting to "enhance" themselves. Of course, he still has enough skill to slip away from their grasp...but time is running out.

I can do a pretty good Kamui if it's a more simplistic RP, but not for more complex ones like this one. Eva can do her much better than I can, apparently.
Someone on Taryn's Wingnut City forum has come up with the idea of the Hood Hunters, a pack of cannibalistic tuners who kill others for food, parts, and whatnot. Pretty extreme.
And do you mean bringing back the characters from the original Track Time RP?

Probably only a few, particularly the people who know Glimmer the most.
I could definitely go for the "Hood Hunters" bit, especially when some of them find out how valuable Glimmer's Manager mods are. Glimmer would probably have heard of them as well, making it harder for him to be found. There might also be a few Manager undercover scouts who want to eliminate Glimmer (or get him fed to the Hood Hunters) so they can make sure he never gives away their secrets.
And maybe this is a bit extreme...but maybe Glimmer could be taking "protection" under a local pimp. It'd give me an excuse to make him dress in drag. XD

O.o *blinks* *imagines Glimmer dressed up like a girl* Oh, geez, now I can't get that image out of my head! XD
I am not sure who else is interested in joining this, but I certainly am. I would use only a few of my own OCs (like Ebony, etc. and I will play Kamui as best as I can manage her) as well as some of the hood hunters (who can either be male or female, gender doesn't matter in this group, just that they all share the same insatiable hunger for parts of other cars).
The Hood Hunters, as I see them, will rush at the intended victim and crash themselves into him or her, causing extensive amounts of damage to the victim. That's what they will try to do to Glimmer if they catch him. They would be just like a pack of wolves hunting down their prey once they get whiff of a new and interesting scent.
So, when do you want to start this?

Good question. I suppose he's still around. I am not sure if he's still a paranormal thorn in Glimmer's side or back with Kamui, though it might be interesting to bring him in. On a side note, I wish I could do a really good Scottish Brogue...  |
