HISTORY: Growing up with a well-known name like Weathers has gotten Sapphire a lot of attention. Her real name is Julia Amity Weathers, her middle name similar to her Aunt Amity, who is the sister of her father, The King, or Strip Weathers.

When she was little, she had wanted to be a racecar just like her father, The King, but had also been in his shadow. She had many friends, losing some to tragedy or disagreements. At the age of 13, Julia and her mother had some VIC passes and was going to meet her father before his big race. Down in the pit area, she met the devious, uncouth, and chuevenistic Chick Hicks for the first time, who, when he saw her badmouthed her terribly, to the shock and horror to her parents. She responded in kind, which almost caused a ruckus and she nearly got hit if it wasn't for her father coming between her and Chick. That confrontation had been burned into her memory and Julia wanted to show Chick that she was her father's daughter and take up racing just to prove that she was just as good as any man on the track.

Following in her father's tiretracks, Julia Weathers entered the racing world for the first time, beginning with the junior competition, most of which she usually won. Modifying herself into a stock racecar, she practiced and practiced hard until she earned a place among the other top competitors, including her father, Lightning McQueen and Chick Hicks. Dropping the name she was born with, Julia became Sapphire Sky. For awhile, Sapphire raced alongside her father, never able to pass him, but getting quite close, and only came into her own after her father retired from racing.

When her father finally retired from racing, though it was due to the unfortunate wreck caused by Chick Hicks during the Tiebreaker race in California, Sapphire took over to carry on her father's racing legacy, finally coming into her own and earning a new nickname, "The Princess", for herself as well. She still remains one of Chick Hicks' most staunchest rivals on the racetrack.

HISTORY: Amber grew up under Sapphire's shadow. Though her parents loved their second-born daughter, Amber was mostly in the background dealing with anger issues and depression, caused by the belief that her older sister got more attention than she did and that upset Amber greatly. She was born with a rare talent - The Sight - which allows her to focus her Inner Eye to be able to see ghosts where others cannot. She kept this talent secret, but would often go to some haunted mansions that she knew of and try to talk to any ghosts that she could find there.

She was a lonely child, however, and grew up without any friends, unlike her sister. When she turned 15, she became tuned, and went out street-racing, trying to "fit-in" somewhere in this world. She didn't become famous, though instead becoming a member of the local tuner group, as well as learning a lot of new tricks on the streets, which helped her to become streetwise at an early age (though she was a little older than Ebony when she become a tuner).

At one point, Amber became sick and when her parents took her to the hospital to get her checked out, it turned out that her engine was on the weak side and her body was rejecting her new modifications. But she held on to her mods, refusing to let the doctor remove them. She had decided to deal with her infirmities anyway and try to live the life that she wanted without protest from her family, who eventually accepted her decision. But to make matters worse, she was also diagnosed with clinical depression, a serious mental condition that had plagued Amber all her short life and which would never go away, despite the medication given to her and which she refused to take on account that it would take away her identity.

WEAKNESSES: Doesn't trust too easily as she has been hurt too many times before by others who had promised to treat her kindly, but had gone back on their promises; A bit strict when it comes to educating her children; Has a habit of misinterpreting most things that are told to her and goes off in a huff somewhere private and isolated until she's worked out her thoughts and calmed down; Is very emotional; She apparently suffers from heat hyperpyrexia, but had never been diagnosed with it. This always immobilizes her for the duration until she fully recovers, which might take a few days, or up to a few weeks, depending on how severe the illness is at the time.

HISTORY: (Swept Away Timeline) Weighing in at only 40 lbs, instead of the normal 60 lbs for car infants, Ebony was malnourished and constantly ill from the start. She somehow became an orphan who lived on the mean streets of Toronto, Ohio where it was thought that she was abandoned by her parents one night when she was four, yet she doesn't remember anything before eight. It was during a Tuner Convention there that she was noticed by a Dodge Stealth by the name of Ricardo Sanchez, who picked her up and took her to his residence in Vegas, Nevada. At first, she would be left alone in the old, nearly-empty apartment, but soon she grew on Ricardo, or Rico as she called him, and her presence inspired him to make something of himself. As she grew older, Ebony started doing advertisements to bring in business for Rico's Mod Shop, by wearing the modifications that he offered for a set amount of cash. During that time, she earned a reputation for herself, becoming the Black Viper of street-racing fame. Many tuners raced her, but never could beat her.

One summer night, she raced a black Toyota Supra named Tony Blitz, but he had become enraged and sought revenge on her for humiliating him. When they met again, he led her out into the desert, drugged her, then beat and raped her viciously. Ebony escaped by jamming her spikes into his fender, but was now in fear of her life, so she exiled herself to take up the life of a vagabond traveler. But that wasn't all of her worries. She discovered that she was in term and carrying Blitz's child and yet, she was only 16 at the time. This scared her, but there was nothing that she could do about it, except to let the term advance. On a cold, winter morning Ebony went into labor (which was hampered by a cave-in, but she managed to make it to safety) and after six hours gave birth to two twin boys that she later named Kestrel and Falcon.

For nearly two more years, she traveled all around America and parts of Canada (where she had given birth) with them, but never once finding safety and happiness, though she was able to find temporary shelter from the elements. She started to believe that there was nothing left for her in this world and began to think suicidal thoughts that would rid her of the constant sadness, fear, and hopelessness that she felt. Her emotional and physical health was very low and she suffered from starvation and dehydration and did not have the resources available to her to be able to take care of the twins, although she tried her best.

(Original Timeline) Ebony is the younger sister of Boost and is the secondary leader of the Delinquent Road Hazards. When she and Boost were very young, their parents died in a highway accident, leaving both brother and sister alone to deal with a number of foster families that did not keep them for long. It was a bad life for them, which caused them to join the DRH as tuners, working their way up to the position of leadership. Ebony followed after her brother, staying close to him for protection and comfort, since he was the only real family she had in her life. She earned not only his respect as a tuner, but the respect of the others as well, including the older members. Trouble is always finding her, though, and she is no stranger to pain and sickness.

Ebony is sort of a goth girl by nature and always keeps to herself. She does have a bit of fun teasing others and goading them on. She also has a mean streak on her and often lashes out at others who tend to get too close to her or make her angry. She is also curious and is often found poking around in some place that she has taken an interest in. She is not overly friendly, but can be polite and elude to harmlessness.

HISTORY: Coming from a poor Mexican-American family, Ricardo grew up in the desert and sees the dry wasteland as his home. He tried to make the best of it to support his mother and five younger sisters and four brothers as their father was gone, but it had become too much. It was then and there that he decided to go over to America to see if he could scrounge up a job, but all he could find were factory jobs that paid little to nothing to immigrant workers. That was when he started to get into street-racing, discovering that each race the participants won a purse full of money if they win. He had gone tuner and for awhile everything started to look up for the young Stealth, getting attention from a lot of females who liked his sleek, sporty looks and steel grey eyes.

Until, that is, when he came upon a little Viper girl who looked to be emaciated and ill-looking and hiding out in an alley during a tuner convention in Toronto, Ohio. The plight of the young Dodge Viper child pulled at his heart-strings so badly that he adopted her and named her Ebony for the natural black paint-coat that she wore as he did not know her real name and neither did she. After taking her in, Ricardo began to soften and not go out as much as he previously did, but instead opening up a mod shop business and bringing in money in a much more honest way than street-racing had ever done for him.

He was forced to leave his business in Vegas when Bart Grayston became too much of a threat. Then he met up with a black Trans Am named Phoenix and fell in love with her. From their union came a son, a black Ford Mustang GT named Gryffin. Ricardo promised to protect his family and being with them both makes him happy. He tries his best to make them happy as well.

HISTORY: (Swept Away Timeline) Tony grew up on the wrong side of the tracks with his twin sister, Samantha, who left to pursue her own career. He was not a particular likeable car as he was not entirely sane. Tony did not like females, especially those that had the same kind of color of eyes as Samantha had: emerald green. He became a predator of young females who had that close resemblence, manipulated them, and brutalized them until they were dead. Ebony, at a younger age, had almost become one of those countless victims when she was taken in by Tony, manipulated and brutalized, the result that she had come into term with twins. When she had managed to escape from Tony, the Supra was furious and wanted revenge. He followed her trail and had caught up with her, but before he had a chance to send her and her unborn child to their deaths, he was interrupted by the arrival of another Viper, who chased him off.

Still, he waits in the wings until he has another chance to get at the poor Viper girl and her children, even if he's captured and taken to jail, as he'll always find a way to escape and continue on his quest for revenge.

He doesn't know it yet, but he is the father of Ebony's two twin children.

(Original Timeline) Tony Blitz was born in Brooklyn, New York to irresponsible parents who cared nothing for his twin sister, Samantha, and himself. So, when the twin's mother and father were killed in a gang raid, Tony and Samantha fled onto the streets. Tony protected his sister from danger and became a tough street fighter. He held sway over the other gangs in Brooklyn, only to get beaten up and thrown out by the tougher Import gang (tuners). He and his sister moved to Albany, New York where Tony went to high school to get a decent education and while there he met a pretty girl named Amber Weathers, whom he started to date. The relationship went smoothly at first, then began to turn sour as Tony began to take on a manic and demented personality and started to beat Amber. Tony was distraught when she left him and it took him 8 full years to finally locate her in Radiator Springs, only to be beaten in a race against Amber's sister, Sapphire Sky, and thrown into a cactus patch. He has vowed to return to exact revenge on the inhabitants and the town for causing him to be so humiliated and angry.

HISTORY: When he was born, his parents knew that he was very different from the rest. Along his sides were these curving yellow stripes that seemed to have an organic feel and glowed on occasion. No other child wanted to play with him because of this, so Akira grew up alone and friendless, becoming a bitter adult. At youth, he discovered that he had Earth-demonic qualities and could take on any shape or form that he wanted whenever he wanted. Akira became an assassin for hire as a means to support himself when he was traveling and, by coincidence, had been hired by an old Ford named Bart Grayston to kill his granddaughter, Phoenix Grayston. He failed and ended up a virtual prisoner contained in the Innerscape world of a Dodge Viper girl, named Ebony. She is able to keep him contained with the strength of her empathic abilities, but sometimes Akira would be at work trying to come up with ways of tormenting the poor Viper, often making her sick or extremely emotional or both before he is empathically beaten back again.

After a few years of living in a contained world, called the Innerscape within Ebony's conscious, Akira has accepted defeat and has decided to help Ebony out by lending the Viper some of his power, which can go through her spikes as electricty. He is now capable of jumping from Innerscape to Innerscape with ease and can pick up on hyperplasmic energy, otherwise known as ghosts.

HISTORY: She is Ebony's estranged mother who had no choice but to submit to an abusive husband who had no respect for her and her ill 4-year-old daughter. But Melody was desperate to at least give her daughter a happy life, despite the difficulties and had given Ebony, then Kirsten, a small, golden locket in which she was told could open wonderful things. Every night she sang her daughter a lullaby to help the sick child fall asleep. But when things started to get worse for the small family and her husband started to not only verbally abuse her, but physically abuse her, Melody fled with her daughter across the state of Ohio. In Toledo, an accident separated Melody from her daughter. When she recovered, Melody searched for her daughter, but couldn't find her, but didn't know that Kirsten was hurt and hiding in an alley as well as having lost her memories. After a fruitless search, Melody filed a missing persons' report to try to locate her daughter, but without positive results. Kirsten, now Ebony, stayed missing for 14 years. Melody has reunited with her daughter after a unexpected encounter at the Wheel Well hotel in Radiator Springs where she worked and is now trying to see Ebony on a regular basis. She is a proud grandmother to her other grandchildren and always tries to find time to spend time with them.

HISTORY: George is the uncaring father of Ebony and Boost and the abusive husband of Melody. When he married Melody, he took her away from all outside influences (family and friends) that might persuade her to leave him. and broke her to the point of total submission to him. He controlled absolutely everything that she did. On the side, George married another Viper woman who had a son (Boost), he supposedly killed both when he set their house on fire because his wife tried to protect their son from being beaten by him. Boost had bitten George and now there are some nice scars on his fender. When little Kirsten (now Ebony) was born, George only saw the sickly state of his daughter and not to mention that she was a girl instead of a boy, he did not acknowledge Ebony, but instead called her "This Sickly Child". He was not gentle with her either, but treated her just as roughly as her mother. When Melody had the courage to leave him and take Ebony with her, George nearly threw a fit and half-destroyed everything in the house, foreclosed on it because he couldn't pay the rent and went looking for a job. He frequented the bars alot and sometimes getting intimate with the dance girls that worked there. George was never able to find a steady job again, so ended up drifting across country looking for any kind of work that he found available. He is also trying to get back at his estranged daughter for snubbing him.

HISTORY: Coming from a big family (there's about 800 members in all), Shale grew up with lots of love and fun with his brothers and sisters. He was the oldest of seven children, so his siblings looked up to him alot. Much later in his life, Shale went into the police force to protect and serve for a few years before he retired and became a private investigator. Now he follows leads to track down criminals, sometimes with the help of his longtime friend and partner, Luke Garratts, often succeeding in capturing them with the help of ground forces. He has a girlfriend, Bree, whom he likes to stay with when both are visiting Ash Mountain and Cortez, Colorado.

HISTORY: Meredith Star was born Alessandra Mariatti. She grew up under the iron tire of her father Giavonni Mariatti and was verbally and physically abused by him as well. Her mother could not do much to protect from harm and ended up dead at the treads of her father when she had tried to pull Alessandra out of danger. This happened right in front of the poor child's eyes and it scared her for the rest of her life.

She lived in fear of her own father during the next couple of years until she became a teenager and managed to run away from home, changing her name to Meredith Star in the process to hide from her vengeful father. She ended up in a little Colorado desert town called Cortez where she was able to find an apartment and a job so that she could try to have a normal life as possible, but the thought of her father finding her still terrified her so she didn't go out much except to work and eat, spending her off days in her apartment.

One day, she met and fell in love with a sliver-black Nissan Skyline named Luke Garretts (not to be confused with Luke Grayston!) and started going out. After a few years of dating, Meredith discovers that she's in term (pregnant). She has decided, with some helpful advice from Phoenix, to stay at Ash Mountain as her term advances, as it seems to be the most safest and quietest, out-of-the-way place for her at the moment, with Luke close by in case she needs him.

HISTORY: Jessica was born near the Four Corners in the state of Arizona on a Navajo Indian reservation where she grew up. Her parents, the Hawkeyes, thoroughly taught her in the ways of her people, wanting her to carry on their tribe's ancient traditions when they were gone. The little Cobra was quite special, in as she was born with a unique gift. She possessed psychic abilities that allowed her to predict things that would happen in the future. However, Jessica's parents refused to allow anyone to exploit their daughter's abilities and wouldn't let her leave the safety of the reservation for fear of some outsider kidnapping her to make a profit.

When she had her Coming of Age ceremony, like all young teenage girls in the tribe, Jessica met and was courted by a young Navajo hunter named Kevin Redfeather, whom she eventually married and gave birth to a daughter. She and Kevin schooled their daughter, Melody, in the ways of the Navajo, just like her parents did with her.

Unfortuntely, she first lost her husband, who died in a hunting accident, and then her daughter, who was taken away by an outsider named George Sanders, whom she had big misgivings for very good reasons. Jessica did not see her daughter again for many years.

As she grew older, Jessica continued to play an important role in her tribe as the chief shamaness. She is a much-revered elder whom is treated with much respect. She lives alone in an adobe-built home a few miles away from a small desert town called Radiator Springs, where she occasionally comes in to collect some much-needed supplies. She is friendly to the townfolk there, but does not interact very often with them. Jessica leaves when she is finished with her errands.

HISTORY: Ichigo Sakura grew up in her birthtown of Kyoto, Japan. Early on, she showed magical skills that her grandfather determined to teach her about and how to use her powers. One day, however, when she was still a fledgling magic-user-in-training, Ichigo watched as her grandfather matched will with a big, black Ford who called himself Bart Grayston. She could do nothing as her grandfather was murdered simply for standing up to Grayston. Ichigo was devastated and swore revenge, believing it was a dishonor to her family, according to her homecountry's old traditions.

The young Toyota Celica threw herself into her studies of the Black Arts, a type of magic that was considered evil in Japan and so was forbidden, but she did it anyway. Her mind was full of hate as she practiced hard and sculpted herself into a deadly weapon with both magical and fighting skills. Her mind was on one thing. To kill Bart Grayston for dishonoring her family and if that didn't work or if he had already died, take revenge on his surviving family members, which also included his granddaughter, Phoenix, and her family, despite their innocence of the situation.

Ichigo managed to take a place on the High Council of Elders, who oversaw the entire magic operation, which was based in Las Vegas, Nevada and used her strong and forceful opinions to control decisions that would be made by the Council. However, her opinions weren't strong enough to prevent the lifting of the ban on the Grayston name that allowed Phoenix access to the Council.

Her authority undermined, Ichigo was determined to seek revenge personally on the Grayston name herself, depending heavily on the Black Arts.

HISTORY: Tempest was born in a cabin in Montana to poor parents as Ariana June Carter, who were hard-set at finding any means of taking care of their only daughter. So they sent her to a boarding school where she managed to get a decent education, though she remained a loner. She was devastated when she received news that her parents had died in a road wreck. Now she was entirely on her own with nobody to support her.

At the age of 16, she sets off on a soul-searching journey cross-country to find her place in this world. Eventually, she comes upon an old cabin which had not been lived in for years and when she goes inside, she discovers the ancient spellbooks that her mother owned at one time. Flipping one of the spellbooks open, she finds a page in which was in her mother's own handwritting that says, in effect, that her daughter has inherited her magic and that she has bequeathed the spellbooks to her only child. Ariana is astounded that she was a Magic-User in the first place and wonders why her parents had never told her before because she hasn't shown any signs of being one while she still lived with them. She reads on to discover that her mother had set a block on her magic so it won't show up unexpectedly while she was in boarding school. It was probably still in effect.

Wanting the block lifted, but not knowing how to herself, Ariana, takes the books and what little else she could find from that old cabin and goes in search of a user who could lift the block and give her magic lessons. Her brief search ends when she comes across an experienced sorceress known as Lorena Graymalkin, who took her in and taught her how to use her newly-discovered powers.

Ariana, through unrelenting determination, became very skilled in the art of not only White, but Black Magic and took on the name Tempest when she joined a gang of tuners living in Las Vegas. She is a very valuable member of the gang and has risen in rank, through Ebony's efforts, from bodyguard to leader. During that time, Tempest met a tuned Honda Civic named Inferno and had a son named Blazer. She is again in term with her daughter, but is still a respectable force to be reckoned with.
