It was raining again that night, thus keeping everyone inside. Kestrel and Falcon, instead of being in their beds sleeping, were playing their favorite game called "Let's Scare Mommy" at the moment. Wearing the white linen sheets from their sleeping pads, the two ten-year-old Viper boys quietly crept up on their mother, who was busy talking to her Trans Am sister by the fireplace.
Ebony was unaware of her sons' game as they were downwind of her at the moment.
(((((OOC: Don't know where any of the characters would be at, so I just started it this way. Hope that's okay.)))))

"The girls are finally down," Phoenix said with a sigh as she sank into the cushions.

"They're becoming a tireful now, aren't they?" asked Ebony, looking at Phoenix for a moment, "Want something to drink?"

"Sure," Phoenix said with a nod as she flicked a mirror.

"Got it," said the Viper getting to her tires. But just as she was about to head to the kitchen, two little somethings popped out making growling sounds and trying to be all scary. A sudden flash of thunder added to that affect.
Ebony was startled, giving a sharp gasp as she jumped back half a foot as she was confronted by these two apparently ghostly apparitions, who were in reality Kestrel and Falcon wearing padding sheets from their bedrooms.

Phoenix jumped quickly to her tires and spun around in surprise. Her eyes narrowed at the pair.

Unfortunately, the game didn't last very long and the twins knew that they were caught when the sheets were taken off of them by their mother. She narrowed her eyes at them. They also saw their aunt glaring at them as well.
Kestrel and Falcon cringed and sank to the floor, looking especially guilty. "We're sorry. We couldn't sleep and wanted to have some fun."
"Guys, what have I told you about scaring your mother when she has a guest over?" Ebony said sternly.
"We shouldn't do it?" Kestrel said hopefully.
"And it's rude?" added Falcon.
"Right," nodded the Viper, "Now promise me and your aunt that you won't do it anymore."
"We promise that we won't scare you anymore," the twins said, looking at Ebony and Phoenix.

"Good boys," Phoenix said with a nod. "Now why don't you go back upstairs."

"But it's dark up there," said Kestrel.
Ebony blinked for a moment, "That's never been a problem for you guys before."
"Ghosts might be lurking up there," added Falcon.
Ebony looked at her boys. Have they been hearing too many ghost stories or do they just have very active imaginations?

Phoenix rolled her eyes. "I'll take you two back up there before Gryff knows you're gone."

"Okay, Aunt Nix," said the twins.
"Thanks, Nix," Ebony said thankfully to the Trans Am.

"Your welcome," Phoenix said as she got to her tires and started for the hall. "Come on you two."

Ebony smiled and then continued on to the kitchen to get what she was going to get before the twins popped up.
"Coming, Aunt Nix," said the twins as they followed after Phoenix, staying close to her.

Phoenix slowed letting the two catch up. "Been hearing to many ghost stories haven't you," she said.

"But ghosts are real," replied Falcon, "I saw some in the hallway. They were just dark shapes that made no sound, but they looked real."
Kestrel nodded, "Some of them are nice, but some others are scary. But Mom keeps saying that we have overactive imaginations and that ghosts aren't real."
