"Thats alright I don't mind it," Phoenix said playfully lunging at the twins.

"Well, they already got a good start, so I really don't want to rush them," said Ebony.
The twins bounced about as Phoenix playfully lunged at them.

"True," Phoenix said and growled playfully as she chased after the twins.

The twins were laughing as Phoenix chased them. They were having such fun outside, not even understanding that today was their mother's birthday.
Ebony just settled down to watch the play as she waited for everyone else to arrive at the party.
Ricardo and Miguel were nearly finished with the playpen.

Phoenix herself laughed as tried to catch the two Viper boys.
She glanced towards Ricardo and Miguel to see if they were done yet.

Kathleen thought for a moment. "He still feels for you, deep down. He may not show it, or betray anything to his own conscious self, but there'll come a time when he can finally tell you that."
Kendall rubbed his wipers together with an evil laugh "MOOOHOOHAHAHA!"

"Wheee!" the twins cried with glee as they bounced around Phoenix and keeping out of her reach.
Ricardo and Miguel stood back to look at the finished playpen. "There," said Ricardo, "It's done. Thanks for the help, Miguel, or this would've taken me much longer by myself."
"No problemo," nodded Miguel.
Ebony moved forward to catch the twins to bring them to the playpen, "Okay, you two. I don't want you wandering off while my birthday is going on."
"Mama birf'tay?" asked Kestrel, as he let his mother herd him and his brother toward and into the playpen.

"Yes," Phoenix nodded as she followed alongside them. "Its a special day for her."

"Mama play on her day?" asked Kestrel.
"I don't really know how a birthday's supposed to go, Hon," Ebony replied uncertainly, "This is a first time for me."

"I don't even know when that is," said Delfina, "I never really been in a real relationship before."

Darcy came up to watch Kestrel and Falcon while their mother was busy. "I'm really happy for you, Ebony."
"That's part of your problem right there." Kathleen nodded. "You don't know where the guideposts are."

"Well, I really don't know what to feel about this," admitted Ebony, "Birthdays are so new to me. I just don't understand them."

"I have a hard time trying to find those guideposts," said Delfina.

"I have a few memories of birthdays." Darcy said. "Way back, but they were happy ones. They kept me going when there was nothing else to live for."
"Maybe you need to let Aron know that it's not any fault you find with HIM." Kathleen said. "It's something that you have never dealt with before and have no experience with, and maybe if you put it down in a letter, he might understand."

"I only have memories of someone singing lullabies to me," Ebony nodded, "but I think I need some guidance with this birthday stuff. When will it start, anyway? I'm getting a little bit impatient."

Delfina thought for a moment. "That might work. I'm better at writing than speaking anyway."

"Just write it as it comes to you and work at it until it makes sense." Kathleen advised.
"Pretty soon, from the looks of things." Darcy peered out towards what the others were doing.
