"That would work," Fabrizio said, "Does 5:30 sound reasonable?"

Rosa nodded, "Yes, it does. And I feel sleepy already."

Fabrizio gave a slight smile. "I won't keep us up, then."
He rolled forward and gently touched his nose to Rosa's by way of a good-night gesture. "See you in the A.M."
((I was thinking of a telephone conversation between Archer and Krystal in that meantime, discussing the situation. Sound good?))

(((((OOC: Yeah, I was working on how Krystal would sound like anyway.)))))
"Goodnight," Rosa smiled. Even that simple gesture made her feel better.

Fabrizio grinned in return, before quietly retreating from the doorway, about-facing and moving back into his own room beside the Probe's. He gently eased himself down onto the sleeping mat, closing his visor and killing the lightswitch with a simple tap to the nearby pedal. Hopefully, sleep would come easy.

It had been a few hours since the meeting. Archer had, along with Bruno, arranged for StrikeZone and Castor to see a street doctor. They were busy getting patched up. Now, alone in back room of the Renegades' warehouse, he carefully entered the proper digits into a speakerphone. Strike had said Krystal could be reached at this number.
There was a series of beeps as the digits replayed, then clicked through. A tell-tale ring followed.

Her spikes always had a way of making her existence dangerous. One wrong move and she'd be hunted by rival street-racers, or a gang as the case may be. Rosa settled down to get some sleep, since she needed it for the long trip ahead of both her and Fabrizio.
Sooner or later, I'm going to have to face the consequences of my actions, she thought before she drifted off to sleep, curled up underneath her nightcover.

In Amarillo, Texas a pearlescent white Eagle Talon restlessly paced back and forth, waiting for the rest of her group to arrive. Krystal just hated having someone be late for a meeting that she knew that they should be there and did not like having to wait.
Her cell rang and she picked it after a few rings, answering in a brusque tone, "Yeah, what do ya want?"

Archer wasn't put off by the nature of the voice. He spoke in a friendly, business-like manner. "Hello, ma'am. If I may ask, is this Krystal of the Road Renegades speaking?" He did not know Krystal personally other than she was Strike's cousin. They had not actually conversed before, even though they were part of the same gang.

Krystal was suspicious. This person on the other end wasn't any of the members that she knew, even by voice.
"That's my name," replied Krystal, being very straight-forward as she didn't mince words, "Now what business do you have with me and the Renegades?"

"Considering I am also of the Renegades, Krystal, you needn't worry about who this really is. But if you need a name, my alias - Archer - will suffice," the 240SX said, "Now, I've contacted you because I bear news regarding StrikeZone, and a proposition."

Krystal's eyeshades went up in a flash. Something must've happened to Strike that one of his subordinates would have to contact her. She felt a bit concerned for her cousin, as well as intrigued about the proposition that Archer was offering.
"Okay, Archer," she replied, "I'm listening. What happened to Strike and what's this proposition about?"

Archer smiled thinly to himself. At least he had her attention now.
"We were recently engaged in a conflict with a lone DRH member and her travel companion, not far from the New Mexico/Arizona boarder; they were trespassing. The DRH put up a very effective defense in the form of spikes, and for the time being, StrikeZone and another Renegade, Castor, will be taking medical leave."
He paused only long enough for that to start to sink in. "My proposition concerns this DRH and making sure she gets what she deserves. How she pays doesn't concern me, but Strike said that you would probably be someone very interested in making sure she does."

Krystal knew that the DRH had been trouble to the Renegades for the past couple of years. They were always trying to take territory away from them. She resented this and wanted to get back at them. The one lone DRH would be a perfect target and a message to the other DRH that the Renegades would not be pushed around any longer.
"So, he wants me to follow these two tresspassers, doesn't he?" asked Krystal, "I can do that. And I can figure out a perfect punishment for them as well."

"Yes. Though there is a slight catch, Krystal," Archer said candidly, "Not that I don't have complete confidence in you, but we at this end feel this particular DRH cannot be handled alone. Which is why I've opted to have a freelancer accompany you. He's experienced in conducting long distance surveilence without drawing attention to himself. With the recent happenings, it would be best to wait until your targets have reached their destination.
"I understand if you have a problem with that, but then it wasn't my call. Strike just doesn't want you to suffer the same damage he has in tangling with that DRH. We felt some experienced backup was needed."
