Azra shook his head, smiling to himself, despite his doubts. Definately of an odd sort, that Maui. He'd leave her to her own devices for now.
He looked at Zubrini. "So, would you like a little tour of this place? It's been a while since I've had something new to do."

Maui went right to work on her leaver project. It wasn't long until she got it together and was going to lift the rock. She pressed downwards on her leaver and got her rock rolling. However, in a strange twist of fate, it started to roll right in her direction.
"ACCCKKKK! No! This! EEEIIIIAAAAAHH!" Maui yelped as the boulder started after her.
Almost like a prehistoric parody of an Indiana Jones film, Maui made a mad dash with the boulder chasing right behind her. Perhaps it was a good thing that she was a great runner....

Experimenting? The word was quite new to Zubrini as she had listened to the exchange. Just what does this Maui female ex-per-i-ment on anyway? She was curious and thought maybe she'd go over and investigate.
Zubrini shook herself out of her thought as she heard Azra speak to her, offering to give her a tour.
"Sure, I'd appreciate that," she replied, "Thank you."

Azra started to reply, but found himself being interrupted again. He glanced aside.
Maui. In trouble already.
Why was he not surprised?
"For the love of..." He let his sentence hang. "Hold that thought a second." Makena weren't the best sprinters, but Azra wasn't one to sit around and let someone get hurt. Even if they did cause the situation.
He darted after Maui and her no-longer-inanimate pursuer. As soon as he was able, he went for a shallow dive, knocking Maui out of the boulder's path. Azra rolled to his feet and stood up, watching the rock continue to roll away. "All right. What did I just tell you about causing trouble?"

"Kyahhh!" Maui yelped as she was shoved away.
She shook herself off.
"That wasn't trouble.... it was.... uh... just a slight deviation in my experiment," said Maui a touch sheepishly.

Azra growled quietly, frustrated. "Next time, make sure those deviations aren't so life threatening. I won't be here every time to save your rear in the event of a problem."
That being taken care of, he briskly trotted back to where Zubrini waited. "Sorry about that," he said, ducking his head to scratch at his disheveled feather mane, "Anyway, was there anything you were especially curious about seeing firstoff?"

"That's alright," replied Zubrini. She scratched at an itch on her hide, "Well, the trees look interesting, but is there any caves around? I used to explore some caves that were near my home before I left it."

Azra looked up the forested mountainside, recalling what he knew. "There are. The pack's nesting grounds are situated on a ledge to which several cave openings can be accessed." He paused, considering how that sounded. "But there are others throughout the region. It's just a matter of knowing what trails to follow and what signs to look for."

"Well, if it's okay, I'd like to explore them," said Zubrini, "Lead on. I'll follow."

KanKov nodded, "I don't particularly look concerned do I." He stated, "Well, we wont have problems until late this evening it seems, the Acro has long since found cover of trees and I'm sure he'll rest for now..." he glanced back, "So let the little ones feed on, they're safe for now."
He continued to watch devotedly from his post, if there were any signs of the Acro's whereabouts, he'd be the first to know and sound the alarm, he may not have been a caring raptor, but he did, in a certain effect, care about the clan he was apart of and did not intend to see anyone injured.
----
Laousa watched her little ones, warning them not to wander far, as she looked up, she noticed Azra being followed by another...unfamiliar raptor.
Was she what had caused the uproar with the Zeburi? She sighed with relief, at least, judging from expressions, no one had been hurt.
She turned her attention back to her chicks and smiled.

Maui snorted as she went back to where the boulder once was to investigate the results.
"Next to being crushed, I'd say this was a HUGE sucess!" said Maui quite pleased.

Azra glanced sideways at Maui, hoping she would stay out of trouble for now. Then he looked back at Zubrini.
"Let's see if you can keep up, then," he said playfully, before taking off into the forest at an easy, loping run. This would be interesting. 'Raptors who were raised on plains typically had to adjust to learning how to make sudden stops or turns while navigating a sea of trees.
Some of them learned faster than others.

Seleysha rolled her eyes. That bravado was typical of Kan-Kov. She wasn't sure how much of it was supposed to reassure her, or if it was some thinnly veiled attempt to impress her. At that, she knew Neonis had never liked it even when she made simple conversation with Kan-Kov.
The Beta female turned back to watch Sarena alternate between preening and keeping the chicks in line. Slowly, she eased herself down into a lying position. The nearest unpreoccupied chick instantly bounded over to her, chittering and cooing.
Neonis finally returned from his debriefing. The crowd of chicks parted to make room for him as he walked by. "The hunt will commence soon," he reported to both the adult females. "The Alphas decided one disturbance is not worth worrying about for now. Sarena." He looked at the larger of the two. "You've got tracking duty."
Before she could reply, Neo looked up, to where Kan-Kov stood at his outpost. "Kan-Kov, the Alphas desire your presence on the hunt."

There wasn't anyone to complain to, so Noah suffered in silence. Not that he would have complained had someone been there, anyway.
He spent much of his time away from the pack, but still on Zeburi land. His favorite post was a flat rock beside a lone tree, not far from the river. He could spent hours sitting, at attention, his back ramrod straight, coolly scanning every horizon for danger. Years of being alone had left him plenty of time to perfect the art. As a result, his sharpened senses made him one of the best sentries.
As of now, his eyes and ears were turned toward the river. He had heard the commotion, and seen the dust rise as a strike-team weeded out an intruder. He had made no attempt to join in. Neonis would have been just as likely to kick or bite him for good measure.
Now, as gradual peace returned to the sector, Noah was intrigued. He smelled other 'raptors, and - in layman's terms - they didn't smell dead. That was enough to provoke a need to investigate, even in him.
He hopped down from his perch, crouching low as he made his way through the grass toward the riverbank. Being downwind, they shouldn't be able to smell him coming.

Maui, being so wrapped up in sketching out diagrams of her recent experiments in the sand, was far too wrapped up in her own world unless someone came up and supprised her. She was humming a tune to herself. It wasn't particularly great humming or a great tune, but it wasn't horrible either.
