Out of curiosity, I'm going to ask you guys that if you could write a book about anything, what would it be about? What would the title be? What would the cover look like? And furthermore, why?

The Wonderous World Of The Mole-People. That's my title... It would have to be about my belief of furry people that live under my house. They are the... Mole-People.The cover? Two Chihuahua's playing Ping-Pong. I don't know why... ;D

Legend of the Starwings
Mystical Space Dragons! But not the kind of dragons from Authorian legends, but a birdike kind of dragon that's adapted to live in space for long periods of time. They can transform from human, to space dragon, to living ship. They would be called Starwings.
The cover would have a photo of a space dragon flying through space and couple of small spacecraft nearby encountering it.
I started this idea about two years ago. Still haven't gone anywhere with it yet.
I'm weird. I know.

I am already doing two writing projects, one of which I am hoping to publish eventually.
The one I am hoping to publish is a science-fiction, which happens in a space expansion/colonies era, but no aliens around. It focuses on one main character, a spec-op soldier named Brian Wallace who was led to believe that he was admitted to some sort of goverment-sponsored program to alter humans. Stronger resistance to pain, better eyesight and the general package. While in reality, it had much different meaning, one of which was to make him more weak minded and more controlable. So he defects. That is just from the first part (of five). The rest follows how he adjusts from being what he thought was a respected soldier to be treated lower than dirt by the goverment of the country he defected to.
The title and cover? I dont know yet. My working Title is Tango-21, the name of the special op team Brian was in. For the cover, I would have to go with no complex drawings or illustrations, maybe create some attractive logo of the title.
Why? The amound of research I am doing for it. Origionally, I wrote a lot of stories which are in a very narrow genre, and I wanted to write something general. I wrote two pages in word to try it out, and my friend encouraged me. I didnt though really start to write until two months later, after doing some research and being influenced by Halo, NCIS, TSD (The Starship Destiny, rather low-life webcomic) and more. What I wrote is actually part three or four of my story. Now I have part one, an unwritten gap to the part I wrote first, and one part after that. I still need one final part, the ending, and the gap after part one to finish.
One of my other writing projects is something I doubt I will be able to publish at all. If anything, it could be turned into a TV series if some miracle happens. The kind of miracle that would make Fred shiny.
It is called GDO, stands for Global Defense Organisation. GDO is basically big brother of the earth, keeping an eye on most terrorists and potentional terrorists. I would like to point out to you from the US that this idea of mine predates 9/11. I though didnt start to actually work on it until two-three years ago.
The story actually focuses less on the macro of GDO, but the micro, on a team based in Colorado. Version 1 of GDO had the team of five based on a out of town minor military base, while Version 1.5 stations them with a local FBI office in Denver. There are several differences between the two versions, such as the focus on the main villain, and how GDO actually works.
GDO 1.5 is heavily inspired by NCIS. There are several similarities in it with NCIS, though the main characters are very different. The first version had though a character that can be easily mistaken for a direct snatch of Tony DiNozzo, the current version transformed that character completly, for a reason I will not say.
If there would be coverart, I would go for a global map, which would have the following locations highlighted: Virginia, US. Sidney, Australia. London, UK. Berlin, Germany. Moscow, Russia. Taipei, China. Tokyo, Japan. There would be a special empathis on Sidney.
Why do I write GDO? To be free of the rules. With GDO, I can do whatever I want, however I want it. I don't have specific rules for it, I will alter the background information if I see fit to do it. I was stressed with my other writing projects, so I took notice of the Alpha Team series from Lego, shrugged and said to myself; "Why the hell not?" That is why I dont particulary care about if GDO will be published or not.

I'm actually working on a piece (which I am writing now and possibly seeing if I can't flesh out a bit more to it with Nanowrimo next year) that is... rather hard to explain. Fantasy fare, as I've always wanted to take this idea I've had for years and put it into novel form.
I wish there was an easy way to explain it. It's... wow. Yeah. It'd sound stupid if I went into it. There's a lot involving corrupt religions, an evil god, and one girl having to find the lost idols and get people to believe in the "good" gods again to help them regain their former power and save her world from destruction on the anniversary of the war of the gods that put this evil god into a position to fool the people into thinking he was the good one. If that makes any sense.
The cover would probably be a vista. Valley or something... with a girl (main character) sitting on the back of a gryphon on a ledge overlooking it.
The title is, basically, Fallen Embers. I'm just hoping this doesn't turn into a multi-book affair. It's trying to!

I'm writing a sequel to Happy Feet. It's called Happy Feet 2:Love Is Thicker Than Ice
A LOT of romance between Ramon and Desiree, my character, she would be voiced by Jennifer Love Hewitt....or me!(mostly me),I know I'm strange!
I'm using the Blue Collar Comedy Boys as the voices of my characters in the story!,that's right southern accented penguins!,there Desiree's brothers, they don't like Ramon at all!(figures)
Here are they're names their all Anartic names, the names are cool!-
Mikhail-Jeff Foxworthy Vostok-Bill Engvall Erebus-Larry The Cable Guy Vinson-Ron White
There's some bad guys too!,you know those Skuas, well,I made my own Skuas! Here are there names- Leader Skua-Robert De' Niro(I couldn't think of a good name for the character so I just called him Leader) his henchman(they don't talk at all in my story) His adopted daughter Ashanti-Mandy Moore Ashanti's real parents were killed so Leader Skua took her in.Unfortunately she's treated very badly by him.She despises him and longs to have freedom.
Then there's Mumble and Gloria's son Nanook-Josh Peck.He makes short appearences in the story.
Other characters like Lovelace and Gloria have appearences to.
*There are future characters!*,there going to be very special!
Here's the story plot-
Deep in the heart of Antarctica,it's mating season and everyone's doing there heart songs. All except for one small group we know as the Amigos. They say they'll get mates, but that's going to change for one little latino that we've come to know and love, Ramon(Robin Williams). While goofing off with his friends one day,he accidently bumps into a drop-dead gorgeous,blue-eyed female Adelie penguin named Desiree(Jennifer Love Hewitt or me).Of course,Ramon is speechless and acts all clumsy around her,and he can't say anything right!,Desiree tells them that she was looking for her brothers Mikhail,Vostok,Erebus, and Vinson(Jeff Foxworthy,Bill Engvall,Larry The Cable Guy,and Ron White),they agree to help her. After searching for an hour, they go to Lovelace(also Robin Williams) to see if he's seen them.he says they went to catch some fish.So they head off towards the ocean.Of course, they find them eating and telling jokes.Desiree's brothers are suspicious of her new friends. Ramon slowly falls for Desiree, and tries to impress her.One night,Ramon takes her to a waterfall, and loves it.Ramon is about to say something to her when her brothers show up furious at them especially Ramon. They take Desiree home, she manages to tell Ramon to come see her later. Meanwhile,a group of Skuas lead by a huge, ugly, black skua named Leader Skua(Robert De' Niro, come down and kidnap Desiree and her brothers, and takes them back to their hideout called Skua Cove. One young skua named Ashanti(Mandy Moore)begs her so-called father to let them go.He gets angry and swats her down to the ground. The other skuas fly off,Desiree manages to call Ramon's name. Meanwhile,Ramon heres her and one of the Amigos points to the sky.Ramon panics and waddles as fast as his little legs can carry him over to the adelie grounds. There they meet Ashanti who tells them where there taking them, and decides to help them out.Ramon agrees agrees, and they set off to rescue Desiree and her brothers before it's too late!
Will Ramon get to tell Desiree how he truly feels?
This is a story about true love, bravery, courage, and that you can be a hero no matter how big or small you are!
Songs that would definitely be in my sequel-
Get Your Shine On-Jesse Mcartney
Nothing I Have Ever Known-Bryan Adams
Secret Love-JoJo
Just Can't Wait-Advent(just the music!,no words!)
If Only Tears Could Bring You Back-Midnight Sons
Promise-Vanessa Hudgens
Don't Let Go-Robin Williams and Jennifer Love Hewitt(instead of Bryan Adams and that lady that sings in the backround)
Sorry If I got carried away typing all of this!

I would definitely be interested in reading that; it's right up my alley. Fantasy's my favorite genre. And when Tolkien created the Hobbit, he didn't think he'd be writting more books on it. Well we all know that's not true. I myself am throwing ideas around left and right. It's probably gonna take me awhile before I actually start writing a book version of anything. Taking creative writing classes gets you thinking.

I want to write a book so bad but I never have time I'm always so busy and I think I'm a better screenplay writer then a novelist, but I definately have some awesome ideas! My first idea is about a group of cats who live in France (FYI there's no humans there is only cats ok?) and each of them have been framed or accussed in a murder, so yeah the book would go through their little journey and junk like that. My second idea is about a female NASCAR driver and her all female team, just about her life and what she goes through the stuff, I'm not going into any real detail at all cuz yeah...anywho that's that ;D

I'd love to complete a book of short stories someday. At least one of them would be about time travel and most likely they'd all have some common theme. I've had my time travel story soundly rejected (and for good reason, the early versions stunk) by the literary magazines in high school and college but I still have faith in the overall idea and I will someday perfect it. IIRC the first version of it was typed on a dot-matrix printer, so it's been a while!
BTW Evangeline, thanks for the two links you posted in the fanfiction thread. I especially like the "how to critique" guidelines.

I suppose I should throw my two cents in as well...
Being silly, I'd write a book titled "So You Were Raised By Cats: A Guide To Adapting To The Human World". The cover would have a background image of two pictures blended together towards the middle- on the left would be a litter of kittens and their mother, to the right, a bustling city sidewalk. A teenage girl- complete with backpack- would be in the middle, walking towards the city scene but looking back longingly at the family of felines. It would basically be a view of the human world through the eyes of cats, under the premise that it's a guide for a feline-raised human child to survive in the human world. It would point out many of society's little idiosyncrasies that we as humans tend to either ignore or overlook.
For a more serious effort, I have two ideas in mind- they are connected, and one would be a sequel. I'm hoping to have at least one published.
The first one takes place in the not-so-far-off future, Roswell New Mexico. Aliens land- with media and the public all over the landing site, so the government can't hide it. The aliens- who are refugees from their dead home planet after a plague wiped out 90% of the population- are settled in an underground base, where they are studied by a scientist. He learns about them- their society, their biological systems, their lifespans- and soon comes to view the aliens as family. He watches one give birth, watches the "hatching" of an adolesent, and even watches one die. The species, as a whole, is very old- they were technologically advanced far beyond humans (think a little bit of Star Trek: Next Gen and add a bit of Fillmore's dome) or were until the plague. All seems to go well until something goes wrong. There's a twist at the end, but I won't spoil it here. Haven't thought of a cover. No title yet- haven't thought of one yet. It's basically a play on humanity's fear of anything different- what they don't understand, they fear. What they fear, they hate. What they hate, they kill.
The second one initially takes place after the first, but mostly acts as a huge flashback. It goes back to the ancient time of the alien species, before technology was discovered. It goes along with the life of a female as she eventually makes her way to becoming an Ancient- the ruling class of the species' ancient world. The story does not end happily. There is all-out war between two groups of the Ancients, with total casualties. The title will be "Blood of the Ancients" and the cover would show the main character lying in the snow, wind blowing the drifts over her still form as she clutches an Orb (adolesent in development stage of their lifespan) to her body, a mark clearly formed onto the surface of the Orb- the mark of the Ancients.
Whew. I think that's everything.

I would write a Grand Theft Auto San Andreas-inspired novel, coming back to find your gang in peices, your mother dead and drugs taking over, but you have to win back the streets along with the other underdogs.

It would be nice to be able to get some good tips on how to express our story ideas, because I've been having a lot of trouble with how to write about my Starwings.
