Fabrizio supposed he was coping fairly well with yesterday's experience, even if he was being kinda quiet. He had been able to sleep fairly soundly, only waking once or twice, either in response to his own nightmares, or Rosa's.
Today, he was trying desperately to not think about it. Whereas Rosa being around him had a calming effect, in turn, he felt the same way; that familiarity with one another was reassuring to a degree no one else could replace.

In the last decade, Shawn had come to not care too much about his appearance. But he would admit that if he saw himself in a mirror now, he'd have to relent to the fact he looked a heck of a lot different than just a few days ago.
More scratches for his collection, covered in fine sand in all those places he couldn't reach, with the occasional splotch of dried paint from his interior job, and the bandaged fender didn't do him any favors.
The aero hybrid sighed quietly in aggravation. This was one of those times he wished someone would drop something heavy, from a great height, onto his hood. Knock some sense into him. He was no split personality, but slowly and surely, he could tell -
A particularly loud whine, almost a howl, from the foxdog startled him back to his tires. Chrysler, what did it take to shut that thing up?
Maybe he should have let Natalie stay, if only to keep that animal quiet...

At the diner, Rosa watched as Ebony left again with Slaytor, both going in the direction of the Butte. She could understand Ebony's need to keep active so the Viper could keep her mind off of what had just happened to her yesterday. And it looked like Ebony now had a friend, as well as a guardian, in Slaytor.
~~~~~~~~~~
Carrying the gas can on her hood, Ebony accompanied Slaytor to the Butte. She knew that she needed to rebuild her strength after having been sick for three weeks. She still felt a little messed up with her emotions, but she was beginning to loosen up while she was around Slaytor. There was something about the Mustang that helped her to open up.
((Notice: may disappear without warning, basically the reason why I haven't had a lot of time to be consistantly involved in this RP lately. Sorry.))
The Vector finished the last of his second round of Premium, carefully using his nose to slide the empty can aside. For him, keeping his mind off of what happened yesterday was surprisingly easy.
"Y'know, besides all this going on, I've been doing some thinking," he began awkwardly, "About my situation with Dominic and whatnot." Nothing like a near-death experience to make one revise the importance of some things. "I have... decided to try and patch things up with him, whether it's a pleasent experience or not."
Rosa blinked and turned to Fabrizio, forgetting about Ebony for a moment.
"Really? I thought you didn't want to," said the Probe, "What brought this on?"
((I'm guessing nobody wants to puppet for Jay. Because I'd totally love to be RPing right now, but I'm waiting for Jaime.))
Fabrizio bit his lower lip, realizing there was no backing out of the conversation now.
"Something like nearly having several tons of rock crush you flat gets you to thinking about your problems, and what you would do to resolve them," he said, but immediately changed gears and went back to the previous subject, "I probably still don't want to face this issue, somewhere, though I'd say thinking about Mom and Cesar is what did it. I used to pretend that this didn't bother them as much as it did me, but fact is that it does. I shouldn't let Dominic's attitude lead me to believe the entire family is out to remove me. They may be Italian, but they're not that kind of family."
He paused, letting that explanation sink in. Then he took his eyes off the concrete in front of him to glance at Rosa. "I'm not leaving just yet. Having some time to plan what to do whenever I go back would probably prove useful."
"I understand," Rosa nodded, "If it will help renew the relationship with Dominic I'll gladly give my full support. And... planning for it is a good idea."
Fabrizio smiled appreciatively, touching his nose to her's, as he had done the night before last. "Thank you, Rosa. I'm equally glad to know that," he replied. "As I said, I'm not going to leave right now. I'll take my time in thinking this over. And come the time when I do leave, you're welcome to come with me if you so choose."
Jay blinked, watching after his father with a raised eyeshade before hurrying just a bit to pull up beside him, nudging against his side slightly in a sort of subdued sign of affection compared to what his sister may do. "Always willing to listen, Papá." He paused. "Hey, I don't know if it helps, but Clarita and I... we're considering moving home. Not really even considering. We're already getting a friend of ours to pack up our stuff at Impressions and send it to us here."
"I was kinda hoping I'd get to come with you," said Rosa, smiling at the nose touch, "We could start planning on what to do, so we can have a gameplan ready when we do leave."
She briefly glances in the direction that Ebony and Slaytor had gone in, worried a little bit, knowing how how fickle the Viper's personality was right now. She wanted to stay long enough until Ebony could get her life back together.
Fabrizio followed Rosa's gaze, making a note of what direction it had looked in. The smile on his own front faded slightly. "You don't have to tell Ebony about it just yet, if you don't want her to know," he pointed out, "I'm willing to stay as long as you need to make sure she's on solid ground. Remember, between me and you, your priorities always come first."
Ramone stopped when he was back at his wife's cafe, looking to Jay. "You're moving back here? That's great!" He smiled slightly, and then asked his son to hang on for a moment as he moved over to where Flo was. "Flo, listen... I'm doing alright now. Jay told me you looked worried."
Rosa shook her front, "I don't want to tell her just yet, but when she's ready to deal with it. Right now, she extremely afraid of abandonment. I don't want to see her go into another downward spiral of depression."
Flo nudged Ramone's side lightly before smiling. "When either'a my boys look upset, of course I'm gonna worry. You look pretty cheerful now, though." She nuzzled him again. "What's got you so happy?"
Jay shrugged a bit, resting on his hydraulics. "Clara and I are moving back home, Mamá. We figure since things are picking up, we want to be closer to you guys, and... well, now that Clara seems to have found somebody..."
Flo did her best not to perk. Her little girl "finding someone" meant mom get to hope for grandkids, but it wasn't like she was going to just blurt something out. "That's great, sweetie! Oh, my babies livin' close t'home again... you know just how t'make your momma smile, doncha?"
Ramone nodded. "Yeah, that's why I'm happy." He nuzzled Flo affectionately. "You know... Christmas is coming up, and I still have no clue what to get any of you."
