Impressive...so it looks like it's either going to take place in New York(the second time a GTA game takes place in a real city, the first being GTA: London 1969) or a revamped version of Liberty City, which was a parody of New York anyways.
And the main character looks Eastern European. That could only be good.
EDIT: On second thought, would've probably been more accurate if I had said that the main character sounds East European. XD

Saw the trailer, downloaded it on HD WMA and PSP.
Ford almighty...that's beautiful. *wiper ducts still leaking from unattainable ecstasy of the mere sight*
Plus...bloom lighting still hasn't gone out of style. D:

I just realised the only thing that might disappoint me about this game...and that's the possibility that it will ONLY take place in Liberty City/New York. If that's the case, then I'll miss the countryside from San Andreas. Imagine the desert in next-gen graphics...it'd be like Radiator Springs, except less talking cars and more exploding cars.
Still, people on other boards pointed out how SA's first trailer only showed scenes from Los Santos, so I'm gonna wait for the next trailer before finally deciding.

I like how they act like GTA is the first time a crime game/book/movie/etc. takes place in New York or a New York-ish setting. Especially when Rockstar already visited that setting twice in GTA1 and GTA3.Oh, and: I guess GTA is completely safe then.

Yeah, I guess they didn't mind the city getting destroyed in Independence Day and movies like that, but heaven forbid, put a NYCish city in a trailer, that doesn't even have any violence in it (!) and they go crazy. Yeah, last time I remember, you didn't get points in GTA, you got money, well, the later GTAs anyways.

Even the first GTAs' points were measured in dollars. But no, you don't get any points for whacking a cop in the game. You do get a police truncheon and a pistol though...
But I digress. Mafia: City of Lost Heaven had trunkloads of countryside, just not much to do in them. Maybe they could expand out to Westchester and Long Island for starters...and have Sal's mansion out there too.

If anything, the Wanted system discourages you from killing police unless you really need to, or are just feeling a bit violent(which happens quite a lot XD). Although there are still parts in the story in which you're nearly forced to fight the police.
Hmm...all this GTA4 stuff is making me want to start a new game of SA. As if Gran Turismo wasn't already eating up my free time.

Yeah, the wanted system usually discourages you from doing anything to the police unless you're forced too, but of course, not like the politicians are going to say that.
I can't wait till its released though, from what the trailer showed, it looks like its going to be good. To bad the buildings can't be damaged though, cause awesome building damage would be fun.

The graphics are stunning. =DD
Hopefully, as previously stated, we get some different cities, at least some farmland. WITH COMBINES. I loves me some combines. In San Andreas, I would always steal a Combine and go run as many people over with it as I could. XD That game definitely lets my deranged psycho side out.

The Combines were fun, but they're so hard to steal(I forgot how, actually) and it's a pain driving them down the highways to a town or city.

I would of thought GTAIV would of been set in San Andreas, because of the pattern Liberty City-Vice City-San Andreas-Liberty City-Vice City-Liberty City/New York.

I'd always love flying around in everything with the Cars Fly cheat. That was like the only cheat I ever really used, save for the health and no cops one when I was just messing around and not doing any missions. Which was most of the time.
Also, I have a collection of the VW Campers in all my garages. XD

Rumors are swirling like crazy of a San Andreas Stories for the PSP, if you're interested in that cycle. As for San Andreas on a console, it'll be a challenge mapping out California AND Nevada...
