Pretty sure it's impossible to 'hack' Blu Ray, seeing how it's physically different from a CD or a DVD. Be careful, you might end up creating the next 'Download more RAM' fad. And "Meepie" is just a name we came up for him in the "the little things..." thread here.

I need a Blu Ray thing but I'm poor .... maybe someone'll make a hack to play with on the 'puter... DVD players can't play Blu-Rays because the disc itself is made differently, and can handle higher quality images and more data than DVDs. Blu-Ray = ~30 Gb, DVD = 4-8 Gb, CD = ~0.7 Gb. To some extent it's like putting a floppy disk in a CD player... can't read that crap! Blu-Rays, DVDs and CDs may be very similar in appearance, but they truly are different.

New technology is like that. DVDs, CDs, even cassettes were all extremely expensive when they first came out. Give it some time, they'll be cheaper in a few years.

Ebony Viper, I'll always think of him as Edison Axle too. That name just stuck in my head.
I'm especially excited to see Meepie, Chuki (the anime-style newscaster), Minnie and Van (squee!), Fred, and the crew chief pickups and racing crew forklifts -- Not Chuck!! Who on Earth is Greta? Her name is listed a few times.

In my day, we paid good money for 8-Track players! Old!! Haha, just kidding But, technology changes amazingly fast. I'm still tying to figure out whether HD-DVD's or Blu-Rays are going to prevail on the market. Because, if anyone remembers the deal with Betamax, you'll know what I'm talking about.

So far, I think Blu-Ray has an advance.
