It just goes to show that the only ones who can do what Pixar does is, you guessed it, Pixar. It's sad that anyone else even tries. In fact, I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I had screwed up their idea this bad.

When I visited Kuwait again last week, there was an English-speaking kid's channel which had this show: www.bigfoot4x4.com/meteor/index.htmlThe style is such a ripoff of Cars it's not even funny. Looked like a pretty cute show though.

Pixar has that rare confluence of talent, conviction and capital to make it happen, and the people involved actually give a damn about what they are doing. It gives that quality called "heart".

Well, guess who ended up on Portal of Evil today! It's Branscombe International, which was responsible for the "Little Cars" abomination. One of their later offerings is "Ratatoing". Gee, can you guess?

Ugh. They should stick to licensed movie adaptions instead of cheap parodies if they can't come up with anything original. I see from their site that they made "Spookley the Square Pumpkin," based loosely on a book of the same name. My son has that video and while it's not Pixar-quality animation, it's very well-done for a kids video. I can't say the same for "Little Cars" from the clips I've seen of it.

I've seen ONE redeeming thing on their site, and that's the Bill Plympton cartoons.

Seems like their whole business revolves around making cheap ripoffs of superior products. Sad.
And their "director" sounds like a 13-year-old who's just discovered Windows Movie Maker(no offense to any 13-year-olds lol).

Little Tow? Yes, he is a cutie and one of my son's favorites. I loved the episode where he thought King Krunch was chasing him in the dark, but it was just a tire caught on his tow hook. My ultimate fave is Junkboy. I find his fear of water and cleanliness very funny!

I haven't seen much of Meteor myself. This thread seems to be becoming the every-series-about-anthro-vehicles-that-ain't-Cars thread, which makes me wonder if that subject deserves a thread or maybe even a board of its own at some point.
