Krill smiled at Sheila reassuringly and nodded at his uncle.
"I hope that doesn't mean that we're gonna get the same freak thunderstorms as in the past," said Meredith, "Nearly got flooded in the ravine with Natalie and Shawn one time. We barely made it out alive."

"Glad you did," Luke said, still watching the storm rage.
Chase blinked and turned, flicking his mirrors as something entered his range. "Whats that sound, sounds like an engine Dad."

Boost flicked his mirrors and listened for a bit. The noise was very distinct. "Sounds like an airplane engine."
Even Krill had straightened up, also listening, "I hear it too."
And Meredith, having lived on the streets herself, also picked up on the engine sounds as well. "I know what's happening. Some plane is getting grounded by this weather very soon."

"Who on earth would even try flying in this weather," Phoenix said as she looked up for the plane.

"I don't know," said Boost as he too looked at the sky, "but it sounds like the plane is coming in for a landing at our landing strip soon."

"We're going to be getting some rather wet company soon," Phoenix said watching as the plane finally came in sight as it struggled to land.

Boost and Maven pulled up beside Phoenix and watched the plane land. "Wonder who it could be," said Maven.

"We're about to find out," Phoenix said watching, sensing something familiar and almost long forgotten about who it was.
It took only a few minutes until a pair of headlights appeared driving hurriedly down the street away from the landing strip.

"Let's give this guy some room to get out of the rain," said Boost as he backed up, but he looked at Phoenix as if sensing that she knew who this visitor was.
Maven could also sense what Phoenix was sensing as well.

Phoenix let out a growl. "Chase, Sheila, get behind your father," she said as she backed up as the towering old Ford pulled under the tarp, giving himself a shake.
Luke flicked his own mirrors and growled as the still slightly tuned Skyline recognized the scent and pulled Juniper protectively closer.

Boost placed a tire protectively in front of his children. Maven and Krill both stared at the old Ford as he came in.
Juniper looked at the old Ford and then up at her father with a questioning look, seeing how he reacted to the Ford's entrance.

After another shake, the Ford looked around with familiar pale blue eyes. "Well, well," he laughed gravely. "Likes like we got a reunion on our treads..."
Phoenix narrowed her eyes as she started to charge up for a lightning bolt.

"Aunt Nix..." Maven interrupted, "Flo doesn't want any fighting in her diner, remember?"
She pointed at the showcar, who was watching this situation intensely.
Juniper looked up at her father, "Dad, who's that?"

"He's no one Juni," Luke said, intent on shielding her from Grayston.
Phoenix let out another growl and let go of the energy harmlessly, still glaring at her grandfather.
"I'm no happier being stuck here like the rest of you," the Ford growled.

Flo came over, "Okay, stop glaring at each other now. I will have no fighting or arguing at my diner or I will throw you all out into the rain, understand?"
"Yes, Ma'am," said Boost, but he was still protective of his children.
Juni just stared, not really understanding the situation.
