Dawn stroked Kestrel and checked out the trapped tire. "He's stuck in there good. Maybe if you had some grease or oil or something?"
"Just a sec." Stan went back. "Got some cooking oil in my kitchen." He appeared a moment later with a jug of sunflower oil and put some in a small plastic squeeze bottle. "See if you can get some between his tire and the rock."
Dawn reached for the bottle and ducked back inside. She put a small amount directly at the point where Kestrel's tire was caught. "It's only oil, it won't hurt."

Kestrel chirped, but didn't move as the oil was rubbed between the rock and his tire. He wiggled it and it eventually came free. He chirped again, wanting to get out of the crevice and go to his mother. Falcon was in the same mood as his brother.
Outside, Ebony still worried and hoping that her twins would be okay.

Dawn carefully eased the twins over the uneven surfaces within the crevice and shepherded them back to their mother. Liska came forward and helped Dawn up.
"I'm gonna put some wire mesh over that crack so that doesn't happen again." Stan promised.

(((((OOC: I just noticed. We're on page 100. Shouldn't we be making a new thread?)))))
Ebony lowered her front and nuzzled her twins as they came over to her. They could now pick up that she had been really worried to the point of stressing out and knew what would happened if she stressed out too much.
The Viper herself just want to take them back to her room and curl up with them.
"Maybe do that with any other crevice or hole that you might find," she agreed, then looked up at Dawn, "Thanks."

"At least the ones kids can get to." Stan nodded. "Usually we use mesh, so that the air flow isn't disrupted."
"No problem." Dawn nodded. "I'm glad they're all right."
Kendall nuzzled the twins and Ebony. "I think we could go for a quiet spell right now."
