To Kill a Mockingbird for school. After reading a short summary about it, I think it is worth it, though it involves history I dont know about. I just finished reading The Andromeda Strain two days ago, in English.
Orca: I really really want to read that book, but I have to wait till April to get a copy of it. I own all three previous books.

Unless I'm mistaken, it seems like you and me are the only Halo fans around here. I also own the first three. What I've read until now is good. I just started it last night. Besides it, I've had my eye on the Graphic Novel, too. Some reason you're waiting until April to add it to your collection? Is that when the hardcover edition will be released?

No, I collect the paperbacks. I find the hard covers annoying. There is also that the store I shop with cannot buy the book for some reason. They also failed to order the others at all in the first year. I use that shop to order 'rare' books, comics and DVD collections. I dont have any credit card, so amazon is not for me at the moment.

And writing a few as well.

I enjoyed "The Giver" as well. It starts out entirely normal, then you truly see the world for what it really is.
